I Love Kids!!

Ok so last night we went to Chili's with our friends and then hung out afterwards! They showed us a couple videos that I almost died over!! I absolutely love kids and this made me so excited to have my own!! (Not anytime soon by the way!)

This first one is about these two little boys! Jimmy Kimmel told moms to tell their kids that they ate all of their halloween candy during the night. These cute little boy's reactions are adorable! I felt so bad for them! You are a SNEAKY mom!!!

This next one is about this little girl and her big surprise for her birthday! This is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I cried when I watched this haha

My two best friends right now! (Besides Weston of course!)

My two best friends right now are my spinner bike and my Lose It app! These two separately are great but combined they are amazing!

The Lose It app is basically a calorie tracker. First it calculates how many calories you should eat a day. You log everything you eat and it keeps track of all of your calories. One of the coolest things is that it has a barcode scanner so you know the exact calories you're eating! It has had the exact calories for everything I have scanned so far! So neat! Here is a picture of an example I found!

So it shows you exactly where you're at every day! It also lets you log all of your exercise and how many calories you burn! I love this thing!!

This spinner bike is amazing! I use it for for 45 minutes to an hour a day and burn about 600 to 800 calories! I love it! You can plug your phone or ipod in the top and headphones down below. It also charges your phone so that's a plus! It keep track of your calories, speed, distance. It shows you exactly what to do. There is a knob that adjust the resistance. You can watch cycling videos, TV, or your music! The best part is that it has air conditioning! See the little blue fan up there? Yep that's it! Beautiful!

First Valentine's Day Married!

Tuesday was our first Valentine's Day married! It couldn't have been better! I had class at 7:00 am so I got up REALLY early, like 5:00 am early, and made Weston breakfast in bed. Keep in mind, I am not a morning person haha so that was a pretty big deal! He was really sleepy!

I left for school, came back, and saw this on my table!

A dozen roses, mini cupcakes, a love monkey, gatorade, and a card! I was so happy! He is the best husband in the world!

So I opened the envelope and this is what I saw. Parental Discretion is Advised!

Don't worry, he wrote me a very sweet and romantic letter as well! That night when he got home from work, we were trying to think of somewhere nice to go get some dinner. Our friends Hannah, Grant, Jordan, and Christina called and said they were going to the movie called This Means War. We were in! We hurried and went to In-N-Out, got a bite to eat, then headed to the theatres. It was very romantic! Haha We thought the movie was very funny. There were some sketchy parts though, so I wouldn't take your kids along with you. Basically it's about two friends/FBI agents who end up dating the same girl. They agreed to letting the best man win. Throughout the movie they try to sabotage each other's dates. It's a little corny but I loved it! Here's a sneak preview!

Overall, it was a perfect Valentine's Day! Weston is the greatest blessing in my life and I can't wait for the rest of our Valentine's Days to come!!

Dew Tour at Snowbasin, The Cabin, and Biore Strips!

So Weston and I have a lot of married and engaged friends that we do really fun things with! Last weekend we decided to go up to Snowbasin to see the Dew Tour. It was sooo much fun! We went with our friends Bubba, Sara, Jordan and Christina. We got up close to this huge half pipe and watched the skiiers come down and do all of their amazing tricks! I was very impressed!

Here's the winner! He was amazing!

Afterwards, we went up to my cabin in Eden which is right by Snowbasin and Pineview Reservoir. We all sat in the hot tub and had a blast together. Christina brought these Biore strips. I had never tried them before. We even got the boys to do it with us! We all were laughing so hard. It didn't help that we weren't supposed to laugh because then it wrinkled the strips. What a night, what a night!

Easy Honey Whole Wheat Bread!

I'm not sure why, but it's always when I'm just sitting in school that I crave baking! Today in chemistry I was craving homemade bread. I used to love when my mom made homemade bread! It makes your home smell so good! So I found this simple recipe!

I did everything in my kitchen aid. First, you dissolve active dry yeast in warm water. Then you add a whole 1/3 cup of honey. After that is mixed well you add salt, oil, and whole wheat flour. Gradually you add 5 cups of all-purpose flour.

Next, you pull the dough out and shape it into a ball-ish shape. Set it on a lightly floured surface. Here comes the hardest part people! Knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes. This might be a little embarrassing to admit, but my arms got sore... :S

The dough is supposed to get softer and elastic-like. You then set the ball in a well-oiled bowl and cover the surface of the dough.

Lie the dough back on the floured-surface and set a damp cloth on top of it. Wait for the dough to rise and double in size. This took about 45 minutes.

Voila! Split the dough into two loafs!

Put in two well-greased 9x5 loaf pans. (Mine were a little uneven, whoops!) Now you're supposed to let the dough rise until it's about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches above the top of the pans. Bake it at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes!

Mmm! Here is my homemade honey whole wheat bread! My house smells to die for!

Here is the link to the recipe. Enjoy!

Super Bowl XLVI!

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday! Weston's family has a big party for it every year. His grandpa always picks up a couple buckets of Winger's wings. They are delicious! Most of the family was cheering for the Patriots, especially my brother-in-law Stockton! Just to get Stockton riled up, Weston rooted for the Giants. Fortunately, there was only one incident where Stockton had Weston in a choke hold haha!

For the big event, I decided make these little yummies! They are sooo easy to make and sooo easy to eat wayyy too many! All you do is roll out crescent roll dough, brush with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar, roll up and slice into rounds, bake in the oven, then drizzle with icing! Super simple! I got the recipe from Pinterest (my addiction). Here's the link to the blog it came from...http://iowagirleats.com. She tells you to cook them in a mini muffin pan, but I just used a regular cookie sheet. They turned out great and were a hit! Let me know if you try them out and tell me what you think!

Made my day!

Ok, so I happened upon this video somehow and it is HILARIOUS! I was literally laughing out loud! Maybe most of you have already seen this, but I don't have much time to watch TV with school and work full-time. Basically, Ellen DeGeneres puts an ear piece in a few celebrities ears. They go to a certain destination and talk with some unsuspecting victims. Ellen tells them in their ear what they have to say. Anyways, it's great! It'll brighten your day so watch it!!

Our Story...

You know those cute love stories you hear about when a boy and girl grow up together, end up falling in love, and getting married? Well, that's us! Weston and I grew up in the same neighborhood. My family moved in a year after his and our parents instantly became best friends. They started playing cards, going on double dates, and traveling together. Our families went to Lake Powell together every year when we were growing up. My dad was Weston's young mens leader while he was a teacher and priest. They had a close relationship. I was just Vance's little girl to him and he was just a big senior in a band with long hair to me. Weston went on a mission to Washington D.C. for two years. He returned and I had just graduated high school. I guess he thought I had grown up because he was pretty flirty with me that next month in Lake Powell. Our little neighbor Kamille was trying to line us up in Lake Powell. She put us in a love spell. Well Kamille, it worked! We came home from Lake Powell and I left the next morning to Europe for 3 weeks with my dad. We emailed back and forth. When I got back we went on our first date. We dated for the entire next year and had such a blast! In Lake Powell the next year, I was out on my parent's boat. Weston pulled up in his dad's boat and asked me to come with him. I sat on his lap and we went through a beautiful red rock canyon. He told me he had something to show me. As we came around the corner, I saw a big banner that said, "Maddie, Will You Marry Me?". I couldn't believe it! I was so happy and so excited all at once! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I practically jumped on him! I held myself together really well until we went back to my parent's boat and saw all of our friends and family. I'll never ever forget that trip!
One of our many trips to Lake Powell growing up. I am the second girl from the left. Weston is the one in the middle with the long hair and karate bandana. Oh boy I love him!
Weston came to my 16th birthday party. He is holding Kamille, who put us in a "love spell" and lined us up! I had just had a jaw surgery so don't mind my slightly swollen cheeks.

Now you can see why I thought of him as a big senior with long hair in a band! :)

Here is a picture of Weston, his best friend Ryan, and my dad after they took the Church Ball Championship! :)
This is when we were dating. Valentine's Day 2011.
